Hide Leggings

In modern usage, leggings refer to tight, form-fitting trousers that extend from the waist to the ankles. Originally leggings were two separate garments, one for each leg. The definition above describes these leggings as being two separate parts, one for each leg.

These were crafted with animal hide and probably stitched together with sinew and included long frayed edges, also from animal hide. These obviously covered the legs.
