Beaded Vest

This vest was a museum purchase in 1927 but is older than that. It is 49 cm in length and 68 cm at the widest point. The vest is likely to fit someone between 5'7" and 5'9". It is made of 3 different types of cloth which could be canvas, felt, or wool and has beaded designs on it. You can tell that it is Potawatomi because of the floral beaded designs. It is beaded on both sides.

It was only possible to photograph the back side because it was too fragile to take it of the front because the beads would have fallen off. The vest also has metal buttons on it sewn in with the beadwork. The vest is also lined with additional cloth on the inside.
